Food and Drink
Anyone who knows us will know that we love our food! We want to ensure everyone is able to enjoy their food too, so if you could let us know of any dietary requirements by completing the form below that would be very much appreciated. The main meal is red meat, so if that does not suit please do let us know and we will arrange for the delicious vegetarian option for you.
Where to Stay
We had block bookings at the following three hotels in the area. The block bookings did expire on 6th March 2023, but there may still be rooms available to book if you call and quote the references lower down the page.
Situated in the heart of the Chilterns, The Oxfordshire is a 50 bedroom Hotel and Spa with a Championship Golf Course.
The hotel is 5.2 miles and 10 minutes drive from the venue
B&B is £139.
A boutique hotel with 35 individually styled rooms. The hotel was originally a 15th Century Coaching Inn and is located right in the middle of Thame.
The hotel is 2.7 miles and 7 minutes drive from the venue
B&B is £140.
One of England's stately homes, set in over 90 acres of gardens and parkland.
The National Trust-owned Grade 1 listed Jacobean and Georgian house provides the best in country house hospitality and service.
The hotel is 6.6 miles and 13 minutes drive from the venue
B&B is £365. Please ask for Mirella.

Other hotel options are available in the immediate area, including Travelodge Thame which is 6.6 miles away and 10 mins by car.
Please note that both The Oxfordshire Golf Hotel and Spread Eagle informed us that check in is from 3pm. They understand this is not ideal for our timings so have promised to make every effort to ensure our blocked booked rooms will be available earlier. The hotels have assured us that if rooms are not available when you arrive you can store your bags and you will be able to check in when you arrive back at the hotel after the wedding. The Oxfordshire Golf Hotel has a golf changing room with showers, towels and lockers that you would be welcome to use if your room is not ready when you arrive on Sunday afternoon.
Getting to Notley Abbey
Notley Abbey (HP17 8TN) is located on the border of Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire, so from London, take the M40 north in the direction of Oxford and come off at Junction 7. Turn right at the top of the slip road, follow signs to Aylesbury until you come through Thame. After Thame, continue on the Aylesbury Road (A418) until you see the wedding venue entrance on your left hand side. Further information can be found on the venue website
Travelling Between the Hotels and Notley Abbey
We are organising coach pick ups from each of the three hotels highlighted above ahead of ceremony, and to take back following the party.
If you would like a place on a coach please could you RSVP for the relevant coach below (please ensure you RSVP for both pick up and drop off journeys).
Please note that the times featured for pick up at the hotels are TBC and will be confirmed once we have agreed the final schedule with the coach company.
There will be two available trips back to the hotels from the venue, so please pick the return journey that suits.
If you are staying in Thame at another hotel you can join The Spread Eagle coach as that drop off will be in the centre of Thame so please do RSVP to the your chosen coaches.
Registery
We are not expecting wedding gifts, having you there to share our special day is all the gift we need.
Some people are being rather insistent about gifts though, so we have set up a list of items with The Wedding Shop. Having met a little later in life we have both accumulated a lot of stuff over the years we are in the process of replacing (mainly Rob's stuff!) If you do wish to buy us a gift, or contribute towards one, there's lots to choose from.
We have also included the option to give a donation to the Teenage Cancer Trust. We have chosen this charity as it brings together different parts of our lives. Emma has spent many years working with children and young adults, Rob has personally experienced cancer, and Uke Kalu, one of Rob's best men, does great work fund raising for the Teenage Cancer Trust. Any donation you make will help young people to not face cancer alone.
